Forrest is the original mountain bike destination. Varying trails for a range of abilities, they along with the mountain bike community, helped bring the small withering town back to its former glory.
The town sits in the Otway ranges that span the north of the Great Ocean Road so it would be rude to get so close and not head down to the coast!
This tour starts with a drive to Forrest where we will unload the bikes at the Yaugher trail head and hit up some of the single track, taking in one of the outer loop trails and if time and ability permits, maybe even tackle some of the more advanced trails. Enjoy lunch at the trail head before making our way into the Forrest township and the Forrest Brewery for a pint or a tasting pallet or some of their hand made delicious treats.
With a solid morning ride behind us it's time to hit up the best 93km's of the Great Ocean Road. Joining the road just outside of Apollo Bay and heading back to the east, this is the section where the road and ocean wind along as one creating one of the most famous scenic drives in the world. We'll try our luck at spotting some local Koalas, spend some quality beach time at one of the many hundred along the coast line before making the journey back to Melbourne in time for dinner.
